Visual Studio .NET cannot create or open the application.

| I'm running MCMS SP1a on Windows XP and vs.net 2003. I have multiple
websites so I can develop on multiple branches at the same time. I had some
trouble a while ago where it said
"Visual Studio .NET cannot create or open the application. The likeliest
problem is that required components are not installed on the local Web
server. Run Visual Studio .NET setup and add the Web Development component."
I got it working, but I just now switched to try another website and it
doesn't seem to be working. I'm getting the error
Visual Studio .NET cannot create or open the application. The
likeliest problem is that required components are not installed on the
local Web Server. Run Visual Studio .NET setup and add the Web
Development component.
I saw a post on here from Stefan that said there's an issue with mcms sp2,
but I'm using sp1a. Could it still be the same problem? Any ideas what it
could be?
Thanks,
DWC

| Hi DWC,
this is not the SP2 problem.
It sounds more like a problem with VS.NET. I would suggest to post this
question to an VS.NET related newsgroup to get an idea for potential reasons
for this error message.
Cheers,
Stefan
