| Hi all,
I need help in creating of templates. Well, correct me if i am wrong, but this is what I h=
ave done to create the template. As my reference, is Microsoft Content managemet Ser=
ver 2002: A Complete Guide.
1. Create an MCMS Project
2. Create Templates and Gallery in the MCMS Template Explorer =EF=83=A0 Define the d=
efinition for PlaceholderDefinition =
3. Go to Solution Explorer =EF=83=A0 Create Template folder =EF=83=A0 Add in new ite=
m (MCMS Template File) =EF=83=A0 Drag DefaultConsole.ascx to the template file tha=
t have been created earlier
4. Go to View >Toolbox>Content Management Server> Drag HtmlPlaceholder Control, G=
o to its properties, PlaceholderToBind (there=E2=80=99s a drop down list).
For the drop down list, what should appeared there is/are the definition/s which is c=
reated step 2. However, I only see (none). According to the book, after you choose the=
drop down list, then, the htmlplaceholdercontrol which was added in the template wi=
ll change to a layout, in which mine does not..can anyone pinpoint where I am wrong, or=
any steps that I have left off?
Many Thanks in advance.

| Hello Mimi,
You need to link the Template Gallery Item to the Template File (aspx) by
setting the TemplateFile property on the Template Gallery Item.
