Have anyone noticed that CMS application generates (thousands) locks to
the database? Is this a feature or can this "problem" be generated by
poor use of CMS API? If so how can I avoid this? Can this cause
performance problems?
If don't have more detailed information about this case yet, but I will
tell more when I get facts from our service provider.

This can happen if you don't call CmsHttpContext.Current.CommitAll() after
you make your changes.

But if i only read postings via API and do not make changes, there is no need
for commit? Should i use commitall method also in customplaceholders
SavePlaceholderContent method?

Hi Raster,

there should be no locks when you are only reading.
Please open a support case for this.

Cheers,
Stefan
