CMS2001 -> CMS2002 SP?
|
|
|
| We have a CMS2001 prod env that is running on W2K SP4. We have been requested
to upgrade the OS to Win2K3 Sp1 and need to upgrade the app. What are my
options?
1. Can i leave app as is and upgrade the OS
2. Do i need to upgrade the app first to CMS2002 SP?, where can i get some
good documentation to do this?
3. Any pit falls?
4. are the any other options, like wait for MOSS2007?
tx

| Hi Asela,
MCMS 2001 is not supported on Windows Server 2003.
You need to upgrade to MCMS 2002 first.
MOSS 2007 will not support migration of MCMS 2001 databases. Only of MCMS
2002 SP1a databases and above.
So you would need to upgrade to MCMS 2002 anyway.
Cheers,
Stefan

| hi, all --
We are contemplating upgrading 2001 --> 2002 --> 2007 ... will we be able to
migrate the database to 2007 if we install 2002 in mixed mode?
Thanks,
