Author Developing CMS solutions on VPC

Hi,
We are currently developing our CMS solution on Microsoft Virtual VPCs. I
have allocated 1.5GB of RAM for the VPC. However to do a simple compilication
of the CMS project it takes around 4-5 minutes and its very frustrating since
we are on a tight deadline. Is there anyway to overcome this issue. I told my
Project Manager that its not a good idea to develoop on VPCs since the
performance. The project is also not that big, maybe a maximum of 30 classes
thats it. Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this issue. Is it a good
practice in general to develop on VPCs on the first place.
Thanks
Arjuna.

Hi Arjuna,

this is a VS.NET related topic and not related to MCMS.
Btw: I usually use a VPC with 256 MB with good performance.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Arjuna,

do you have any anti-virus software installed and enabled? That will
considerably slow down VPC and especially compilation.
