| Hi there,
iam a newbie to MCMS,
problem is that i have a web page in which there is a tree on the left side and a bucket on the right, the bucket is in the manner that it has a collection of different categories, each category can have a small image, large image, short description, long description, a collection of links to sub categories
There is a main page that shall have the Short description, a small image and a collection of sub-categories, upon clicking the bucket. a new page is opened with the long description, large image, and again some bucket of sub-categories, if on the main page the link to a sub category is clicked it will then open the sub category,
Problem is that the main page can have more than one category, and they can be variable, therefore i cant fix it in Template, can you tell me ho can i create a similar bucket ???
We have done it through coding but the client want us to us MCMS, in our solution we created our own database and thus the handling was totally in our control, but through MCMS I cant seem to understand how it will handle the data entered.
i tried using the Repeater and Datagrid but couldnt seem to achieve the result, it requires a DataSource and i dont know how to define the datasource in MCMS, because if the controls are simple then it saves on its own, whereas this case is of complex control with two different place holders per bucket and there are more than one bucket being shown on the page.
