authentication prompt appears for a resouce gallery item on windows Vista client

| Hello,
when Vista-using clients click on a certain linked resource gallery
item/items on a page on a MCMS 2002sp2 site, they get the authentication
prompt on their (IE7) browsers.
This also does not happen on IE6/IE7 win2k/XP clients with those same items
(which are mostly excel spreadsheets or forms).
As for the usual reasons we have checked the items for not being deleted,
for users having rights to them and the resource gallery rights should be in
order also. Are there any known authentication related issues with Vista
based clients?

| An addition to this topic: it appears that the problem is limited to certain
file types, namely Microsoft Office documents. Pdf documents in resource
gallery do open without further ado.

| Hi Arto,
does this also happen when right click and choose download?
If not, then it is a problem in the office client application.
