Hi,

I've always used XP as my development OS (Win2k3 for staging/production).
I'm now looking to move to Vista but need to know the possible pitfalls and
work arounds. From my research it doesn't appear possible to install CMS on a
vista machine, is this correct? If i can't install it in vista what's the
best work around, virtual pc or virtual server? also what would be the best
OS for the virtual install? Sorry for the bombardment of questions.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Hi Michael,

only virtual server is a supported platform.
If you need support for the dev environment then you need to use this.

Cheers,
Stefan

Thanks Stefan,

I take it you'd recommend the virtual server run Win2003 rather than XP?
Also for on smaller machines i.e. Laptops running Vista would you still
recommend Virtual Server over Virtual PC?

So much easier when everything is moved over to MOSS.

Thanks,

Michael
