| Wanted to pass along a "special" idiosyncrasy related to hyperlink
editing in MCMS
We created a hyperlink to a Web site outside of our MCMS Web site.
The hyperlink points to a pdf document named i-9.pdf, that is used by
our clients: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-9.pdf.
this week we received notice that the document had been updated and
renamed. In renaming this pdf, they simply UPPERCASED the I. Name of
pdf is now I-9.pdf.
Our authors edited the posting and changed the url string to
http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-9.pdf. They then Previewed the
posting, checked the url and it pointed to the new document.
The problem is that after saving the change, the hyperlink url did not
retain the change. The uppercase I change was not retained.
It appears that when MCMS saves a hyperlink, the url compare is not
case-sensitive.
We were able to make the change by editing the link, changing the pdf
to txt and then saved. After saving, we re-edited the link,
uppercased the I and changed the txt back to pdf. This allowed us to
save this change.
