Author SOLVED: Upgrading MCMS 2001 to MCMS 2002 SP2 throws SQL error

Hi Stefan and Kevin

I already made sure the MCMS 2001 database has plenty of space (also
reported as an issue that could lead to the described error). A friend of
mine did in fact (a few hours ago) manage to upgrade the database on a SQL
Server 2000.

It turned out that the customer had left two views in the database (I
noticed them, but didn't think they would cause any problems - wasn't sure
whether they were part of the original MCMS 2001 schema). I tried to delete
the views on my local database (running SQL Server 2005) but the upgrade
broke through 50% of the migration process.

The upgrade did however complete on the SQL Server 2000 environment once the
views were deleted (weird it failed in the 2005 environment.

Thanks for the help :-)
