SP 2 Upgrade - Application Compatibility
|

| Do MCMS sites need to be rebuilt with the new dll's and redeployed to
environments where Service Pack 2 has been applied, or can we just apply SP 2
and leave them as is? We are not upgrading to the .Net 2.0 framework, VS
2005, or SQL Server 2005 (yet).
Thanks in advance,
Joe

| No, there is no requirement to rebuild your MCMS applications to target
ASP.NET 2.0 following the Service Pack.
You can, if you wish, simply install SP2 and leave your apps as they are
(running as ASP.NET 1.x).
This gets you a bunch of fixes etc but none of the SP2 "goodness".
