Author Issue with MCMS editor and machine with KB918899/MS06-42

We have found an issue with MCMS and XP machines that have KB918899/MS06-42
installed on them. The problem is with pages that have lots of content in
one of the placeholders, the page begins to load but then stops. I had a
look at the HTML that had loaded, and every time it stops partway through
the definition of the HTML parameter for the placeholder with the large
content.

I wondered whether there is something in the security bulletin that limited
the size of a parameter to an ActiveX control, and whether this was having
an effect on the MCMS editor.

Hi Adam,

this is a known issue.
You need to implement the following workaround to disable the activation:

Cheers,
