I am receiving this error: "click to run an ActiveX control on this webpage"
"internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close". When you
click "close", ALL explorer windows close out. This happens whenever I go to
to a website that I need frequently. Noone else has the prob.

Does anyone have the hotfix for this issue?

After reading the article below, I called microsoft to obtain the hotfix.
After giving all the information requested, I was told that I would be
transferred to Microsoft Support to obtain the hotfix. Once I was
disconnected, I called back, gave all the info again, then it rang busy.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Details below:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899812/en-us

CAUSE The issue occurs after you install security update 890923. This
update is documented in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS05-020. This issue
occurs because the Mshtml.dll file does not correctly handle a null pointer.

Hotfix information - A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft.....
To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support
Services to obtain the hotfix.... (800) MICROSOFT (642-7676)
http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?ws=support

Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support
calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional determines that a
specific update will resolve your problem.

Thanks again!
