| hi
I can upload resources to our MCMS portal through site manager or in edit
mode by browsing for a local resource and uploading it at the time of
authoring.
My question is, when I upload via local resource, where are the files put? I
cannot find them in the resource gallery.
Thanks for any help

| Hi,
binary resources are always uploaded to the database.
The difference between resource gallery items and local resources is that
local resources have no reference in a resource gallery. They only belong to
the posting they have been uploaded to.
E.g. it is also not allowed to reference these local resources in a
different posting.
If you need resource that have to be referenced from different places you
need to add them to a resource gallery first and then reference the resource
gallery item.
Cheers,
Stefan
