Hi,

In our MCMS scenario whe have some Templates that require mandatory fields.
If these mandatory fields are not entered we display an error message to the
user on that page itself asking the user to enter mandatory fields. The
problem is that when the user clicks Save and Exit the error message
displays, but in a few seconds MCMS does the save anyway and takes the user
out of the Editing mode. Is there anyway in which I can cancel the Save and
Exit if the validation fails.

Hi Arjuna,

you need to implement validation controls to achieve this.
The out-of-the-box ASP.NET controls cannot be used with MCMS placeholders.

We have covered the details about what to do in chapter 9 of the following

Thanks for the pointer, but I dont think I can buy the book, is there any
other article or anything else that you can point me at.
