iexplore.exe-Application error: How to fix??

whenever I try to close the internet explorer site or shutdown I get the
following message

iexplore.exe-application error:
The instruction at "Ox300abedd" referenced memory at "Ox00000022". The
memory could not be read. Press OK to continue.

Kindly let me know how to fix this.
