Ok, this one has been driving me totally nuts, any help will be greatly
appreciated.

I have the following structure in the MCMS Site Manager Channels

Channels
|
----<machine name> (this is the machine name)
|
-------en-cy
|
-------en-gb (has a default page called default.htm)
|
-------en-en
|
-------en-sc
|
-------en-sc

Now the problem, if I type http://<machinename>/en-gb/default.htm I should
get the default page of the channel, but I don't I get the Page Could not be
found error instead.

To view the default page i've created I can only get it to display by typing
the following url http://<machinename>/<machinename>/en-gb/default.htm

Thanks
Robert

Hi Robert,

did you configure "default" as the default posting name?
Are there more than one posting in the en-gb channel? If yes, then most
likely a different posting is accessed when not specifying "default.htm" and
not specifying "default" as the default posting name which causes the
problem.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

There is only one posting in the channel called Default.htm (and the channel
is configured to use the First Page as the default page), the actual problem
is that I need to add the extra /<machinename>/ to the url when I'm not
expecting to.

Thanks
Robert

Hi Robert,

ok, did you enable the "map channel name to host header name" feature in the
SCA?
And also ensure that this is not a MCMS standard edition server as standard
edition does not support this feature.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

Thanks so much for all your patience and help would never have fixed this
without this community....

I'd missed the option of mapping channel to Host Header. My fault for
blindly following our documentation, which cleverly missed the all important
step out..

Thanks so much again.

Robert
