How Do I access content not part of Navigation

navigation or Site Map?

interesting question: you want to hide the links but would like to be able
to navigate to these pages.
If you really don't have links anywhere you need to enter the URL in the
browser directly.

I modified the yahoo YUI Flyout Menu to work with the MCMS
Channels and Postings. I wanted the editor to be able to control what
links showed up on the menu. So I have the menu only showing channels
and postings (in live view) which are marked as "is important" in the
channel or posting properties. However, I still wanted the editor to
see all the channels and postings on the menu when in authoring mode.
So, I check the authoring context publishing mode to find out if in
edit mode. If so, I show the links not marked as important, but have
a line through them indicating they currently are not showing up in
live mode. This way, the editor can still click on the link to get to
that page, regardless of the fact that it does not show up in "live
mode". In your case you might want to have a full site map where the
items not included are a different color or something.
