Author Guest access on Top-level channel

We have added a top level channel on our staging server and everything works
fine, but when we move it into production it keeps forcing the user to login
when it should allow guest access. Guest access is assigned to the channel
so it should work but it doesn't. There are other top-level channels in the
system created in the same way, and they all work. Any ideas on what to look
for?

Hi Candace,

please check if anonymous access works correct on IIS level by checking a
regular ASPX page in the same directory as the MCMS template project.
Ensure that no 401 responses are logged in the iis log.

Cheers,
Stefan

Anonymous access works correctly in IIS and there are no 401 pages

Stefan -
Any other ideas on what we should look for?

Hi Candace,

if anonymous access works in IIS and no 401 are reported then
- check that guest access is enabled in SCA
- check that a valid guest user is configured in the SCA
- check that this guest user is a member of a MCMS subscriber rights group
- check that this subscriber rights group is assigned to all channels,
resource galleries and template galleries that should allow guest access.

Then it will work.

Cheers,
Stefan
