Outlook sending unexpectedly

I run Outlook 2003 on a 10 month old Toshiba Satellite P100 laptop. I use a
wireless notebook optical mouse 4000 and in Outlook, messages are being sent
before I hit the send button. While typing, the mouse seems to travel in a
variety of directions and after typing text, I can find it not in the correct
sentence location where I originally started. Contacted Toshiba and they
cannot find the problem. Is it a mouse problem (even though battery has been
changed), an Outlook problem or does the problem really below to Toshiba? I
am running XP. Thank you!
