XMLplaceholder, local attachments deleted by background procces

| Hi everybody
I’m using cms2002 sp2 on win 2k3.
I have a custom xmlplaceholder for uploading and showing flash movies. The
xmlplaceholder control consists out of 2 custom controls; one for uploading
flash movie and one for preview image.
The controls act as a attachment placeholder control and save the files as
local attachments in the cms. (using the cms dialog box and everything. The
upload process is handled by cms just like attachment placeholder)
now when i upload these files, I can see them in the BlobTable in cms DB and
everything works fine. But after running the backgroundprocces the Db
Records (containing the files) are deleted from the database.
it's like CMS thinks that there is no reference to these files and assume
these are the deleted files without any postings.
I have used these 2 custom controls with another xmlplaceholder for
uploading and showing images and files with success.
But with the flash placeholder somehow the cms doesn’t see the connection
between the files and the posting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
