Problem with Internal hyperlinks & Host Headers

| Hi Stefan,
My current project required us to setup a new MCMS environment with the
following specs below.
1) MCMS 2002 SP2
2) SQL 2005
3) .Net framework 2.0
In the environment MCMS will act as a host service for multiple Entities.
Hence, there will be a lot of channels & sub channel being created.
However, with the new requirement we've faced an issue which seem similar to
the article that you had revert on; whereby the internal hyperlink is not
able to pick up the host channel even though it is enabled. After inserting
the hyperlink, instead of picking up the host channel as
http://xxxx.yyy.aa.sg/channel/abtus/qqq.aspx , it picks up as
http://channel/abtus/qqq.aspx; having an error as “Page not found”.
http://groups.google.com.sg/group/m...698846236c6250c
In the article, you've mentioned about hot fix 824597 and it will be
available in the next service pack; which I believe it SP2 right? It is being
catered in?
Or is there any other setting that I have missed out upon configuration?
Kindly advise.

Thanks,
Ros

| Hi,
Urgently in need of solution, any one can advise me? Or had hit the same
error?
Thanks,
Rosalind

| Hi Rosalind,
824597 is in SP2 as you can see here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894691
But I don't think it will address this issue.
It sounds to me as if you have a mixed environment with servers running with
map channel name to host header name enabled and disabled - e.g. mixing
standard and enterprise edition.
cheers,
Stefan
