Importing channel using sdo package
|
|
|
| Hi,
I've channel structure on dev server as below:
"Channels -> RootChannel -> Channel1"
But when import "Channel1" on prod server, it is placed under "Channels" and
not under "RootChannel".RootChannel is already present on prod server.
Is there anything wrong when I export package from dev server ? I selected
only "Channel1" to export.Do I need to select "RootChannel" as well ? But I
don't want other channels under RootChannel to be exported.I only need
"Channel1".
Cheers,
Smita

| Hi Smita,
sounds as if RootChannel has been created on the destination and not
deployed using site deployment.
Then the GUID of the two root channels are different.
MCMS only looks at the GUID - not at the name.
You need to deploy the root channel using site deployment to get this
working.
You cannot create it on the destination.
Cheers,
Stefan
