Hello Group,

I'm interested in setting up Commerce Server in a cluster and would like to
know any pitfalls/problems/benefits/exorbitant costs associated with this.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Ken

Which part of Commerce Server are you looking to cluster? CS2002 was
DataCenter certified, which includes cluster testing. Specifically, we
tested against a clustered SQL server, tested the DirectMailer and
Predictor services in a cluster (they are cluster-aware), and tested the
fault-tolerance/recoverability of the runtime APIs during transient
failures such as cluster failover.

And of course the most common technique used to get increased reliability
and fault tolerance with the CS runtime is to run in a load balanced Web
farm.
