Displaying sale price outside of basket.

| Hi,
In my implementation I need to display the sale price (if one exists) on the
product detail page. How can this be accomplished outside of the basket?

| You can display it from the catalog. Catalog system will need to have the
sale prices for different items.

| Actually, this can be done another way. You can create the sales price as a
discount in the discount engine. Then you can setup a pipeline for
processing a fake basket with only the item in it. The end result is that
you get a price for the individual item without the item being in the user's
basket.
