Greetings: Have installed CS2002 on Win2K Pro with SP2
under the local administrator account and didn't get any
error messages. However, when I unpacked the blank site
(again with no errors) and try to install the bizdesk
client, IE reports internal server error 500.

The readme that comes with SP2 indicates that you can run
CS2002 on Win2K Pro and I used the special install program
to load with. Any Help?

Thanks!

Look at the event log and see if there are any events for Commerce Server.

Good luck,
-Max

Yes there were:

The server failed to load
application '/LM/w3svc/1/Root/blankbizdesk'. The error
was 'The server process could not be started because the
configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and
password.
'.

....and...

DCOM got error "Overlapped I/O operation is in progress. "
and was unable to logon .\IWAM_MISDEV2 in order to run the
server:
{3D14228D-FBE1-11D0-995D-00C04FD919C1}

Both came in at the same time I tried to access the page --
haven't a clue where to start to fix these...

Make sure that the Commerce Services are started and they have
administrative rights.

Good luck,
