Is there a way to configure Commerce Server (Direct
Mailer) to email to a SMTP server which require
authentication?

I use to use a server with no problem but recently they
require authentication. I would like to use the account
that I have with them but I don't know how to configure
the Direct mailer for the authentication settings.

Error that I start getting is: 530 Authentication required
