HI!
I need help.
I did unpack my site on a new machine to be able to have a Developpement environment. But When I unpacked the site, il did put every thing in the same and unique data base, not like the prod environment. So I Restore my backup of the data bases from my
prod to my development machine. It went right. But in Commerce Server Manager, I have no profile in the Global ressource and I would like to be able to configure it so I will be able to view and test the site. I get an error profile that says: Cannot
resolve collation confilct for equal operation. How can make functionnal my commerce server 2000 dev. environment?

Thank you

MiKa

Hi MiKa,

You should be able to use CS Manager (through mmc) and change the connection
strings on all resources to point to your restored database. However the
error that you are getting sounds like that the SQL Collation between your
CS databases is different. I am not sure if this is a problem or not, but
ideally you want all your databases to have the same SQL collation.

This usually occurs if you restore a database from a SQL Server that has a
different collation. Check the properties of all you CS databases (including
MSCS_Admin) to ensure they have the same collation.

Hope this helps,
Michael
