Author BizDesk - can't assign categories

When I add additional categories to a product, I'm never given the option to
"Save" them in the BizDesk, hence I can't assign the category. If I try to
exit the page I'm warned that I'll lose data, so the page "knows" I made
changes, it just never updated the "Save & Back"/"Save" links so I can use
them.

Thank you for using Microsoft Newsgroups.

Make sure that all the required fields have a value before you attempt to
save it. If the product is already saved when you try to add additional
categories make sure that the category you are adding is valid.

Export your catalog, go back and delete the product, recreate the product
adding all the categories you need. Does that behave differently? Any
errors in the application event log? It is not a known ussue.

Maria,

That did it!

Our catalog is updated programmatically. Obviously we don't initialize all
the fields, and the BizDesk just doesn't "enable" the Save or Save/Back menu
items unless you fill in the fields. I needed to set the "ProductCode" and
"Weight" fields.

I wonder if this is the problem with Publishing, I get "500 Internal Server
Error", it never publishes.

Found my publishing problem - I didn't implement RefreshApp.aspx!

It's been over a year since my last CS project, it's hard to remember all
this arcane stuff, especially when the documentation (3rd party books
included) sucks.
