Author advert order

Hi,
I am trying to get Adverts to display in a pre-defined order on a CS2002
site. Is there a property that I have to set to get the ads out in the
order that I'd like?

They are all house ads for now. And I just used some of the sample code to
throw them into a StringCollection. Hmm. maybe that is the answer.
StringCollections don't have an order to them, do they? But I think that
StringCollection is the only way that I know of to get the ads. Does anyone
know of another way?

Also is there an 'approved' way to create new ad types (like image, text,
viginette, etc)? I can do it by DB updates, but that probably isn't the
'proper' way....

From the docs for SelectWinners component:

Selection proceeds are based on score, returning higher scores first. If
multiple paid ads have the same score, selection between them is random.

You could make the ads you want returned first have a higher weight (higher
score). All else being equal, they will be returned first.

The CS2000 resource kit included a little editor tool for creating new ad
types - very handy.
