| Andy Ginn 2004-04-16, 5:40 am |
| Hi all,
I am using CS 2002 with ASP.Net, using C# as the code behind language.
When I attempt to convert a basket to an order, I receive the
following exception:
Failed to save basket as an order
I cannot find any documentation or help on this. Does anyone know
what causes this and how to solve it?
TIA,
Andy

| I'm interested in any message looged in the NT event log.
Here is how you can view that.
1. Press Start then run
2. In the run window type eventvwr
3. Go to the Applications node and check if there are any messages with the Source=Commerce Server.
4. Open the message by double clicking and send me the contents.
Thanks
-Vinod

| I too have a similar problem.
I have installed CS2K2 standard edition on Win2K3(32 bit) Standard Edition for the production. The development was done in CS2K2 developer edition on W2K server.
After lots of fire-fighting I have been able to deploy Bizdesk and the Portal(ASP.Net and C#) on the production server. The DB and IIS are on different server.
But now i face a problem in saving the basket as an ORDER. The error trapped by the application as in the application log is as follows:
-----------------------------------------------
Event Type: Error
Event Source: AlBatha.Internet.B2BPortal.Website
Event Category: None
Event ID: 0
Date: 7/21/2004
Time: 2:19:31 PM
User: N/A
Computer: MSAP2003
Description:
Failed to save basket as an order.
at Microsoft.CommerceServer.Runtime.Orders.Basket.SaveAsOrder()
at AlBatha.Internet.B2BPortal.Website.CheckOut.cmdConfirmOrder_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

| Hi,
Sorry it has taken so long to reply.
We rebuilt the environment completely, and the problem no longer occurs. I
can only assume that we missed an installation step somewhere along the line.
