Hi all,

Does anybody know how I can personalize the products that are shown to a
given user based on his profile? For example, if the user selected
"programming" as one of his subjects of interest, show him in the main page
books that belong to this categorization?

Can this be done with the Content Selection Framework or would I need to do
this with a product search?

Best Regards,

Hi, Sandra,

Unfortunately, CSF in CS2002 is target advertisements/discounts to users,
not a catalog targeting solution (in another word, targeting content has to
be ad/discount).

Product search sounds to be the best solution to me. If other CSF features
are desirable to you (for example, targeting based on user profile, page
group, ete), I suggest you can make an "advertisment place holder". So that
running CSF pipeline will return you the best matched ads and based on
those ads, you can run corresponding product searchs to return expected
catalog products.
