Hi there,

1. I haven't got straight from the MSIB (2.5) documentation if the
integration between CMS 2002 and CS 2002 means that the products are saved in
both the CS and the CMS databases or if by means of the Content Connector you
are able to access the CS database in a CMS site.
2. Now, if the case was that it is saved in both databases, how or where do
I define what properties of the product catalog are syncronized with the
Content Management database?
3. Can I manage product categories with CMS?
4. Can I create new products using CMS?

Any help to give clarity on this topics would be highly appreciated

Best regards,

SC

Thank you for using Microsoft Newsgroups.

You will use Commerce Server to create and manage your catalog. You will
use CS bizdesk to import, export, create or do anything related with the
catalog.

You need to add a RichContentPostingID to your catalog definition. It will
then allow you to add rich product pages. This is where the CMS piece
comes into play. You add rich product pages. From the MSIB product
documentation "RichCotnentPostingID links an MCMS page to a Commerce Server
page, and is how the catalog schema integrates with MCMS."

For a better definition and explanation open the MSIB help file and go to
MSIB v2.1 Develper's Guide > Extending the Site > MCMS Containers >
Placeholders > Adding Placeholder Definitions to Templates.
