Hi,

I am running into a brick wall and was hoping someone could shed some
light on my problem.

I have Windows 2000 Server installed with Windows Service Pack 4 and
Commerce Server 2002 Developer Edition. I am trying to install
Commerce Server 2002 SP2 and am running SetupDevEdition.exe to allow
Visual Studio to get the Commerce Server project templates and what
not.

However, when I run SetupDevEdition.exe I get the error message
"Commerce Server 2002 Developer Edition requires Windows XP
Professional Edition with service pack 1 or Windows 2000 Professional
Edition with Service Pack 3"

And now that I have typed out the error message I think I might have
worked out my problem... I am running 2000 Server and the Dev env
requires 2000 Professional.

It sure does pay to read error messsages carefully I guess!

Since I have already put this meesage together I might as well post it
to the newsgroup.

Perhaps someone has a nifty workaround for this? (Other than
reinstalling my OS!)

Cheers
Shane
