Author Staging to a Production Server - SQL Database

Hi everyone,

This question may be more Application Center than Commerce Server, I'm
not sure. We just installed Commerce Server FP1 and Application
Center, and would like to try staging A Commerce Server application.

My question is, can you run a staging environment on the same PC where
you have the production environment? Application Center says that you
can, but I was just wondering if Commerce Server supported this.
Specifically, if your application uses a SQL Server database, how is
this handled if staging and production are on one PC? Can they use
the same database, or do they need two separate databases?

Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris

Which specific modules are you trying to stage?

The modules we are trying to stage would be the application itself,
and possibly the catalogs & profiles attached to it.

For anyone interested, my original information was inaccurate.
Application Center doesn't really support COM+ partitions.
