I found the following message in the Application event log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Commerce Server 2000
Event Category: None
Event ID: 8192
Date: 9/23/2004
Time: 4:13:23 AM
User: N/A
Computer: APOLLO32
Description:
The CacheManager encountered an error during a refresh of the cache:
'Commerce.LRUCacheFlush: Timeout expired'

Does anyone know what causes this error??

Hi Jim,

Does this occur consistently or is this just a one-off error? If it not
consistent then it could possibly be due to a network error or SQL server
being unavailable or locked for some reason during the cache refresh.

If it is occuring consistently then it might be abug and you would need to
go through support channel to obtain a possible hotfix for this.

Thanks,

Hi Nihit. Thanks for your response. This error does not occur often, only
once in a while. I believe you are correct in that it was probably due to a
network or SQL server being unavailable in our case.
