Hi

I have followed all the instructions in the installation guide of FP1. I
even found that I need to migrate the catalogs from SP3 to FP1 in order to
use the new interface from FP1. I did get stucked in trying to open the
CatalogWebServices... But eventually I got that fixed. So, now I can open up
the Catalog Manager screen, which got the TASKS and HELP. Under TASKS, there
are two links. One is "Manage Catalogs" and the other one is "Create New
Connection". However, the Manage Catalogs link is dimmed. Can someone
please help me out? Which part did I miss? Thanks in advance...

I think you have to add a connection for the site whose inventory you want to
manage (create new connection)
If, after doing that, "Manage Catalogs" is still grayed out, then it is
probably a permission problem - you need to run "azman.msc" on the Commerce
Server and add your own (or whatever users) domain account to the appropriate
Role(s) to enable them to manage the catalog.

That step is actually covered in the Starter Site Installation guide, under
the section "Adding users to the authorization policy roles" - but I missed
it the first time I installed CS2002 also.

Thanks a lot!

Yeah... I missed that too at the first time installing CS2002. I think I
did take care about those permission to manage catalogs... I thought the
Catalog didnt migrate...but, I did use the CatalogMigrationTool.exe in FP1
directory.

Cuz, I opened up the IE to browse for the http://localhost/cs2002startersite
.... there is no catalog at all. Does this cs2002startersite have a different
catalog to be downloaded? I remembered that AdventureWorks catalog was
downloaded separately from other location/page rather than inside the whole
pup package.

Please advise, thanks again!
