Using custom property for OrderGroupServer

I'm trying to use the OrderGroupSearch object to search for "order number" and user "email" but OrderGroupSearch only supports orderNumber. However the OrderGroup table in our database holds the user email address as well. Is there a way to use a custom property to search by with the OrderGroupSearch.

ex.

OrderGroupSearch.OrderNumber = "110231"

OrderGroupSearch.[custom property] = "someone@home.com"
