| I am instaliing a CS2002 on XP machine with XP-SP2 the installation fails
with following Error messages:
Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 WARNING: A failure occurred in
CreateComPlusApp() on
C:\thorium\private\setup\ca_dll\cpservic
e.cpp:90.
Error Code: -2146368511, and the description is:
the Errors occurred accessing one or more objects -
the ErrorInfo collection may have more details
CLICK OK on dialog box and then i get this error
Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 WARNING: A failure occurred in
CA_AdminObj_InstallComPlusApp() on
C:\thorium\private\setup\ca_dll\complus.cpp:269.
Error Code: -2146368511, and the description is:
the Errors occurred accessing one or more objects -
the ErrorInfo collection may have more details
NOTE: I am installing CS2002 using a SetupDevEdition.exe in SP3-CS2002 as
suggested in some of the article.
I have checked there is no COM+ application of commerce server at the time
of installation.
I found some threads on the internet regarding this issue, but none of them
are resolved. Any ideas? Obviously, it's failing when it's trying to create
the admin COM+ objects, but I don't know why.

| Hi,
Could you try and give explicit permissions to user installing CS to the
following registry hives and see if that helps:
HKCR\Interface, and HKCR\CLSID
Looking at some previous cases it looks like this is generally due to
registry permissions issue.
Thanks,
