Commerce server roadmap {CS2000 end of life?}

| Is there a Commerce server roadmap? Can someone tell me where we are on
Commerce Server 2000 life-cycle?
Searches on MS, technet, msdn haven't been much help...

| I can't anwser for MS but with CS2006 coming out in mid 2006 I "suspect"
that support for CS2000 will end sometime in 2007 or 2008. If you haven't
moved to CS2002 and .NET yet, you really should look at it. The performance,
scalability and reliability improvements of a ASP.NET based CS site over an
ASP based site are enormous!

| Thanks Jeff,
I agree with your comments on performance, but before upgrading, I'd like to
see what is in store for CS beyond 2006... From my general reading here and
around... It sounds like the product's future is in question since it was
decided that it will not be combined with Biztalk... Was hoping to see
something written from MS about how far out they are planning...

| I "believe" there is already planning going on for a version beyond CS2006.
The "Jupiter" plans (CS + BTS + CMS) were scrapped but the individual
products seem very much alive and well.
