I installed CS2K2 FP1 on Windows 2003 Server on a Virtual Server. After that
I installed Starter Site and did all the steps in the Starter Site
installation guide (software requirements, post-installation requirements).
When I try to access the starter site with IE from the server or from client
computer on the network, I receive the following error:

Configuration Error
Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file
required to service this request. Please review the specific error details
below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

------- ERROR START ------

Parser Error Message: Required permissions cannot be acquired.

Source Error:

[No relevant source lines]

Source File: web.config Line: 338

------- ERROR END ------

the line on the web.config is:
<compilation defaultLanguage="c#" debug="true">
<assemblies>
....
....
LINE 338: <add assembly="Microsoft.Solutions.AccountManagement,
Version=5.0.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/>
....
.....

I checked that Accountmanager assembly is in the bin directory.

When I browse to the catalogmanager web service I receive the following
error:

------- ERROR START ------
Parser Error
Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to
service this request. Please review the following specific parse error
details and modify your source file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: The current trust level does not allow use of the
'debug' attribute

Source Error:
[No relevant source lines]

Source File: catalogwebservice.asmx Line: 1
------- ERROR END ------

any ideas?

Have you tried commenting out the debug attribute from web.config?
