Hello,

I have the following installation :
- computer A : Windows 2000 Server SP4, Commerce Server 2002 SP3
- computer B : Windows 2000 Server SP4, SQL Server 2000 SP3 and DirectMailer
Service

Our Commerce Server site has been deployed and everything should have been
configured properly since all functionnalities seems to work. All but one :
the DirectMailer service is not running well.

When I try to launch a DirectMailing Test on computer A, a SQL Agent job is
launched on computer B as it should be. But the job is never done and the
event viewer show the following errors :

In APPLICATION LOG:

Description:
The server {81FFFFC3-3B83-11D2-901A-00C04F8EC3B4} did not register with DCOM
within the required timeout.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I checked in the registry the server identified by
{81FFFFC3-3B83-11D2-901A-00C04F8EC3B4} and it corresponds to DirectMailer
class. As far as I understand, this component cannot register with DCOM
because it cannot access to the GlobalConfig object. So, I checked the
configuration of this object in the COM component services but I can't see
something wrong : the identities, the roles, everything seems correct.
I am searching a solution for a long time now, I have read a lot of
documentation, I have read all the related topics in the MSDN KB, in the
Microsoft Commerce Server Newsgroups, even in Google groups but I don't have
a clue and this application should already have been deployed. Somebody could
help please ?

Finally, I found the problem : the file cs45_ca.dll in WINNT/System32 was not
up to date. It seems that the SP3 of Commerce Server did not install properly
for an unknown reason. I don't know why this happen but I copied the good
version of the DLL from another installation and now everything works again.
