Just a simple question.

Does Commerce Server manage product quantities? (Like "we have 5
left, so you cannot order 6".)

Of course, I can introduce new product property and use some custom
code to implement this, but... is there really no "native" quantities?

If you're talking about managing Inventory then CS does not have any
provision for managing inventory in itself. There are some pipeline
components which can help you once you've got the QOH value. Also there is a
white paper from Microsoft on managing inventory using catalogs.

If you however have an ERP you'd integrate with then typically the
"Inventory" function is handled are part of that.
