"Language Pack not installed" ???
|

| Hello All,
I have a client who is trying to install the CSFP1 CatalogManager on
her system so that she can manage the product catalog directly.
I initaly gave her just the CatalogManager.Msi file and quickly found
out that the MSI file has many dependancies. I then created a ZiIP
file with all the missing pieces (that I could tell) and had two
co-workers install the Catalog Manager. All seemed well.
But when the client ran the installer, she received a message along
the lines of
"Language pack not installed for Microsoft .NET framework for this
langage".
What langauge is the installer looking for?
The client's machine is English and only english.
I went the the MS download site and found the LanguagePack download
page but I was quikcly informed that there is no language pack for
English.
So... what is she missing? Any ideas?
One thing: I did NOT include the 1033 folder that sits next to
"Catalog Manger" folder in the "Program Files" folder inthe FP1
installation directory. Is this the culprit?
Any insights are appreciated!

| Hi Tomas,
You might want to check the computer's regional settings to see if the
machine is setup as a variant of English - United States. I've seen some
problems with applications that were not properly setup to fall back with
localization to a default locale that exhibit similar issues.
Cheers,
Colin

| If this is still not working what is the list of dependancies you installed
on the client machine?

The problem was with the .NET Framework installation on the client
machine.
We re-installed the 1.1 Framework, then all went as expected.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to this.
