We have an old Site Server 3.0 site we'd like to upgrade to CS2002. The site
has a fair amount of custom code. Are there any guidelines for upgrading or
is this job really a total re-write of the code base? We could stick with
classic ASP code if it would streamline the process. The back-end is SQL
Server 2000.

Thanks!!

Dean,

There is a paper from Microsoft about migrating sites based on Site Server
3.0 to Commerce Server 2002 which should be able to provide quite a few
answers to you. This is downloadable at the following link

Garrett:

You most l likely will have to migrate the ASP code to the .NET environment.
The object model itself is different - so site server stuff won't work in
cs2002. Check out this link: This link may be of help:
http://tekconcepts.com - these guys will give you a free assessment and
prototype migrated CS 2002 site.
