Can anyone say if there is an equivalent of the CS2K Retail Solution site in
CS2002? Classic ASP version, --or-- can I just use the CS2K Retail Site
(Classic ASP) with CS2002?? I don't see it in the \pup folder.

Thanks!

Dean,

If you're looking at equivalence w.r.t using it as a base dev site then you
should use the Commerce Server 2002 Starter site since that is a supported
production base. Another option here if you're also going to be working with
Content Management Server is the MSIB 2.5 site.

Otherwise there is a Retail2002 site which is part of the SDK that ships
with Commerce Server 2002. Under SDK it is available as samples\ASP.Net...
something like that.

Hello,

Our client wishes to use the Classic ASP Retail Solution Site. The other
alternatives are not an option. Do you know if we can just use the CS2000
Retail Solution Site with CS2002?

Thanks!!

Hello Dean,

You can definitely use the Retail Site (Classic ASP) with Commerce Server
2002. You might hve to look up this site
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...rading_bogz.asp
which lists the areas to be migrated to benefit from using the CS2002
functionality. It definitely has some amount of effort involved.

Dean,

Keep in mind that ASP-based sites will not be supported in CS 2006. In
general, your best bet would be to start off the CS2002 ASP.NET-based
Starter Site (that is also production tested), which can then be easily
moved on to CS 2006.

Markellos
