Author Partner copies of CS2002

Hey everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone else had a different route for this problem. As
part of the Microsoft Certified Partner program we are supposed to have a
certain number of processor licenses for Commerce Server 2002. When I
looked at the download site where we obtain Partner program media (which
happens to be the same as MSDN) I noticed that only the Developer Edition
was listed on the downloads.

After a lot of back-and-forth inside the Partner support team and the local
subsidiary I was shipped a copy of the Standard Edition media to use as well
as given a blessing by Partner support to use the Developer edition in
production (seems rather contradictory to the point of a Developer edition
to me).

It seems that the Partner team is unaware of the differences between
Developer, Standard, and Enterprise edition. If any of the product group is
reading I'd love to see someone get that sorted out. If any other partner
has dealt with this issue before and resolved it I would love to hear how
you came to a resolution.

Cheers,
Colin

Colin,

thank you very much for pointing out the issue. There appears to be some
minor glitch in the process, and I will have to look into it, to understand
how we can best serve our partners. Please bear with me for a couple of days
while I investigate and I will get back to you and the newsgroup with an
update.

Regards,
Markellos

Thanks Markellos!

If you could email me or reply to the group when you've got it figured out
it would be great! The SQL, BizTalk, and Windows teams all seem to have
their various editions posted. It would be nice to see Commerce Server
follow up with theirs!

Cheers,
Colin

I didn't see any replies from Markellos but for the benefit of everyone else
I now see the Standard Edition of Commerce Server on MSDN. Still no word
about Enterprise Edition making it up there.

Cheers,
Colin
