| Hello,
I'm interested in finding people who are working with Commerce Server
2k fp1 installations handling concurrent order volumes of at least 100
orders per minute.
It would be great to share experiences, strategies and techniques about
scaling for high concurrency.
I'd also be curious if anyone would share their top orders per minute
or second that they achieved with Commerce Server and on roughly what
kind of web and database hardware.
Thanks,
Nick

| Hi Nick,
Yes this is possible but it really depends on the hardware, software, and
network of the site.
One customer that has numbers close to that has multiple databases setup to
balance read-write operations and does on average 1-1.5 line items per
order. Once you add in a lot of line items or any other complex business
rule such as calling a 3rd party for tax or shipping calculations, this is
were the performance will slow down
Hardware:
Database servers used to test Commerce Server are generally about 4x2Ghz
with 4GB Ram
Web Servers are 2x2-2.8Ghz with 2GB Ram
