Hello All,

One of our email servers went down during the business day but the
associated CS2k web/db servers stayed up.

In the processing of orders, we generate emails to the customers as
well as to the shipping department. So a bunch of emails never went
out. (Still haven't determined if the emails come from the ASP code or
from a Pipeline module).

I can query for the data in the various data tables, but some items
that are stored in the binary data fields will be difficult to
retrieve (until we write some kind of order recovery app).

If the pipeline sent the email, Is there a way to re-process an order
through the pipeline? (To generate the emails).

Can this be "kicked off" through BizDesk?

Any suggestions for re-processing our orders?

All ideas are welcome!

-tomas

Hi tomas,

One thing you can do is retreive past orders through you
PurchaseOrder object and get the saved values, however that is going to
require some programming. (Depending on your site, you will probably
not have all the attributes orginially persisted).

Another place you might want to also check is the badmail folder if you
are running SMTP services.

Jason,

Thanks for the info.

Re-Programming is not really an option, since this site is proposed to
be updated from CS2K to CS2k2 in the near future. And you're right,
the "custom" fields in the order are not being persisted, so we don't
currently have access to the "custom" fields (of course).

I'll have to check the badmail folder (there's still the slightest
glimmer of hope ! <g> ).

Thanks again,

-tomas
