Commerce Server 2002 vs Feature Pack 1.

| When utilizing the .net assemblies to manipulate catalogs under the server,
what are the advantages, or diferences between the two versions.
I am getting some responses from Microsoft that the Web Services are not the
perfect solution to perform this manipulation.
What are the good reasons to upgrade to Feature Pack 1.

| Some of the server side catalog features are
1. Ranking products and categories in base catalogs

Besides the Feature pack also provides Winforms UIs for editing catalogs
and Marketing data.
